OTRACOM™ Upgrade

Otraco International recently celebrated the successful redevelopment of its internet based software management system, OTRACOM™. For the past nine years, Otraco has used OTRACOM™ to enhance on-site tyre-management, consulting and training services for clients across Australia and overseas.
In use at more than 60 mines around the world the unique, patented software tracks and manages tyres and rims from manufacture to disposal, to identify performance trends and, ultimately, reduce tyre-related costs.
Implemented in conjunction with technology partner and Downer EDI subsidiary, Snowden, the system’s first upgrade is nearing completion, with OTRACOM™ Next Generation (NG) to deliver significant performance and functionality improvements, including:
- Enhanced graphics and more responsive user interface
- Integration with enterprise systems such as SAP, JD Edwards and Ellipse
- Mobile data entry via hand held PDA devices
- Real-time notifications for critical alerts and information
- Built-in audio-visual training tutorials and competency assessments.
Otraco’s global experience and expertise in tyre management and services, combined with Snowden’s exceptional technical skills and ‘gold certified’ partnership with Microsoft, have facilitated an innovative, user-friendly, Microsoft Silverlight-based software program, which will add significant value to mining operations around the globe.
